选择旅伴：远途开车，最好选一个懂得车辆基本维修技术的同行。另外最好按额定座位坐人。

遭遇险情：一旦车坏在半路，如果是白天且路况较好，可考虑拖车走。车上应备有拖车绳，拖车时绳子应保持平直，前后车速度保持一致，前车停车或转向时须提前踩刹车灯或打转向灯，提醒后车，以免撞在一起。
